 The Family Center has moved!!

In November 2009, we said goodbye to our old location on Murray Avenue and hello to our new spacious area a couple of blocks away within Northgate Presbyterian Church, on the corner of on Roxboro Street and Ellerbee Street.  While the new playspace looks a little different, we still have all our wonderful toys, crafts, and programs.  Come check us out at:

2502 North Roxboro St.
Durham, NC  27704
Our door is on the side, facing Ellerbee Street.
Our new phone number is: (919)627-7405.

Preschool enrolling

The Family Center's bilingual preschool, is now enrolling children (ages 3, 4, and 5 years). The preschool is open on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday mornings from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Currently, slots are available for each of these days (although this may change; please call us for the latest information).

Our year-round preschool program offers children the opportunity to stretch their cognitive skills, build academic skills for success in school (such as word and number recognition), and develop critical social skills to get along with others.

Please contact Melissa Gibbs, Director and Teacher, at (919) 627-7405 or info@familycenternd.org for further information and an application.

Make and take crafts every Friday!

The Family Center offers a "make and take" craft session for children and their caregivers every Friday. It's a great way to keep little ones entertained and to socialize with other families! Activities begin at 10:00am and the cost is $5.00 per parent/ child or $6.00 per family, per visit.

See our Calendar of Events to find out the schedule of activities for this current month. We hope to see you there!
